   for the Prescott Sister City Association —
    Prescott-Caborca (Sonora), Mexico, and
    Prescott-Suchitoto (Cuscatlán), El Salvador.

In 1972, then-Mayor Taylor T. Hicks, Sr., of Prescott and several imaginative citizen-groups recognized the opportunity to develop harmonious, cultural and educational relationships, and established the Sister City Association of Prescott.
 Prescott became one of 200-plus American cities that has adopted "sisters" around the world. These Sister Cities have fostered mutual cooperation, cultural exchange, and lasting friendships between government officials, citizenry, businesses, and youth.
